Andrew Keeling
an exceptional musician

Andrew Keeling has a led a surprisingly varied musical career. Besides being a composer with commissions, releases and broadcasts from Evelyn Glennie, Fretwork, Jacob Heringman, Gemini, Alison Wells, Michael Chance and many other leading classical musicians; an arranger for Robert Fripp, Ashley Hutchings, Matt Seattle and Ken Nicol; a writer and musicologist (three Musical Guides to the music of King Crimson with an eagerly anticipated fourth); a flute improviser (releases with ex-King Crimson violinist David Cross and Beggars Opera keyboardist/composer Virginia Scott).
Andrew has also been a singer-songwriter/guitarist throughout most of this time. Initially influenced by early King Crimson, McDonald and Giles, Nick Drake, Judee Sill and Cross and Ross.
His recently released First Things album, co-produced by Ken Nicol and released on the MVS label, covers some his early output alongside more recent songs co-written, for example, with ex-Fairport Convention vocalist Judy Dyble.
